Margaret Hershey is a Vice-President with GovHR USA, working on executive search assignments as well as a variety of general HR management projects. Ms. Hershey is an experienced Senior Human Resources professional with over 30 years of demonstrated success across all functional areas of Human Resources in diverse industries, including health care, not-for-profit, manufacturing, distribution, marketing, merchandising and design in multi-site and international locations.
Ms. Hershey has extensive management and leadership experience in both large, publicly held companies such as Ernst and Young and Keebler Company, as well as in mid-sized family owned or privately held organizations in the Chicago area. She has a strong background in creating “start-up” HR departments, as she did for her most recent employer, a privately-held, not-for-profit Assisted Living Center on Chicago’s North Shore. Additional health-care experience includes holding Recruitment and Training/Development positions with Rush Medical Center in Chicago and working on the recruitment assignment through the PAR Group for a Director of Nursing at the North Chicago Long Term Care facility
In addition to management responsibility for Recruitment, Training and Development, Labor Relations, Compensation, Benefits and Employee Relations, Ms. Hershey has been involved in numerous Organizational Development projects. These have included creating and implementing such programs as Change Management, Leadership and Management Coaching (group and individual), Team Building and Business Process Re-Design.
Ms. Hershey received a Master of Science degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from Loyola University, where she was a member of the Jesuit Honor Society. She also has an undergraduate degree in English, Secondary Education from Southern Illinois University.
