The Accountant I is responsible for a variety of accounting tasks which include:

·       Balancing Receipts
·       Preparing & Posting Journal Entries
·       Monitoring Cash Flow
·       Managing Accounts Receivable
·       Preparing Monthly Reports
·       Reconciling Bank Statements & Escrow Accounts
·       Processing Invoices For Payment
·
The Accountant I responds to and interacts with Village of Hoffman Estates employees and elected officials, vendors, contractors, auditors and others within and outside the organization in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.

Work Schedule
Full-time – 40 hours per week
Monday – Friday 8 hours per day between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Compensation
2025 Salary Range: $67,395 annually to $95,700 annually
Starting Salary DOQ

Full benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, IMRF pension, paid time off including vacation, sick leave and designated & floating holidays.

Education, Experience and Skills
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
•   One to two years related experience
•   Ten key data entry / Alpha-numeric data entry
•   Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
•   Familiarity working with accounting software; BS&A exp. is a plus
