Management Analyst – Public Works
Salary Grade 4:  $78,662-$106,194
FLSA Status: Exempt (Not Eligible for Overtime)
Benefits: Full-Time Non-Union

About the Role
The Management Analyst analyzes programs, data, policies, and business practices for the Public Works Department and across the Village. Acting as a change agent, this position manages projects, supports strategic initiatives, leads procurement efforts, and serves as a liaison to boards, commissions, and partner agencies. The Management Analyst champions exceptional customer service, innovation, and continuous improvement while supporting both operational and administrative functions.

Responsibilities at a Glance

  • Conduct research and analysis to improve Village operations, programs, and policies
  • Lead procurement processes and administer vendor contracts
  • Manage key Village programs, special events, and sustainability initiatives
  • Support capital projects communications and Strategic Plan initiatives
  • Assist with budget development, financial tracking, and operational analysis
  • Serve as liaison to boards, commissions, utilities, and partner agencies
  • Support property maintenance enforcement, safety initiatives, and records/FOIA management

Education & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field required. Master’s degree in Public Administration or Business Administration preferred.
Experience: One to three years of related professional experience.

Reports to: Director of Public Works
Supervises: None
