Round Lake Beach, IL – Building Inspector

This position performs comprehensive inspections and enforcement activities across building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, property maintenance, zoning, and other applicable codes, ordinances, and standards at the local, state, and federal levels. Evaluates construction practices, identifies non‑compliance, and ensures corrective measures are implemented. May conduct plan reviews, analyze technical data, and contribute to permitting decisions. Work emphasizes commercial structures and high‑complexity residential inspections requiring advanced technical expertise and interpretation of regulatory requirements.

This position is full time, Monday- Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (working hours may vary based on department needs).
