Villa Park Public Library
The Business Manager handles financial accounting, accounts payable, payroll, human resources, and other business office responsibilities. In this role, you must be highly accurate, well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to safeguard confidential information.
Responsibilities include:
Bank reconciliations, journal entries, invoice entry, check generation, financial reports
Payroll processing and benefits administration
Processing and tracking donations
Creating and maintaining personnel records
On-boarding and off-boarding employees
Acts as IMRF liaison with the Village, preparing forms and uploading files
Prepares and organizes documents for the annual audit
Prepares and submits annual Treasurer’s Report
Prepares Library Board meeting agendas and Board packets
Works closely with the administrative team
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution required
Three or more years of applicable experience required
Strong knowledge of accounting principles required
Proficiency in financial software required; prior experience with Sage accounting software preferred
Prior experience with Paylocity payroll software preferred
Knowledge of principles of human resources preferred
Salary Range: A range of $25.30 to $32.00 per hour; offers made within this range are based on competencies, experience, and internal pay equity

Hours: 37.5 hours/week (full-time)
