Antrim County in Bellaire, Michigan is seeking a full-time Airport Manager for the County’s outstanding small airport. The airport, which is open to the public, has a 5000-foot runway accommodating aircraft of many sizes to land, refuel, and for passengers to stay overnight to enjoy the many things Antrim County has to offer. Located just outside of Bellaire, the County seat, the airport is close to Shanty Creek Resorts and the Chain of Lakes, and is only a short distance from Torch Lake and Grand Traverse Bay.
The successful candidate will have at least a bachelor’s degree in aviation management, airport administration, or related field and five years of progressively more responsible experience in airport operations and management, including supervisory experience. The Airport Manager plans, coordinates, directs employees, and monitors all activities related to the operation and maintenance of the Antrim County Airport. The Manager ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws, regulations regarding airport operations, zoning, security, provides a safe operating environment for both transient and based aircraft, is responsible for and participates in providing services to pilots and maintaining airport facilities and equipment. This is a working supervisor position. A salary with a range from $62,338.79 to $68,134.16 based on qualifications and experience with benefits including health, dental, life insurance, short-term disability, and a hybrid pension plan is provided.
