MGT is seeking an experienced Banner Financial Aid Functional Analyst to fill a long-term assignment for one of our clients, Selected candidate will be an employee of MGT for 12-36 months with possible extension.

Job Title: Banner Financial Aid Functional Analyst
 Location: Remote

Job Summary:
Provide functional and operational support for the Ellucian Banner Financial Aid module, ensuring continuity of daily financial aid operations while supporting the transition from the retiring analyst. Collaborate with Financial Aid staff to resolve production issues, optimize business processes, and provide knowledge transfer and best-practice guidance.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Daily production and operational support for Banner Financial Aid.
  • Resolution of functional issues and data discrepancies.
  • SQL queries and Argos reports supporting Financial Aid operations.
  • Functional documentation, process maps, and knowledge transfer materials.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validation of enhancements.
  • Recommendations for Financial Aid process improvements and Banner best practices.
  • Provide responsive day-to-day operational and production support.
  • Collaborate with functional departments and IT teams.
  • Develop SQL queries and Evisions Argos reports to support business operations.
  • Perform data analysis, validation, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Create and maintain functional documentation.
  • Deliver knowledge transfer and mentor University business analysts.
  • Recommend Banner ERP and higher education best practices.
  • Support continuity of operations during the University's ERP migration initiative.
 
Minimum Qualifications 
  • Minimum 5 years supporting Ellucian Banner Financial Aid.
  • Strong understanding of Financial Aid business processes and Banner Financial Aid functionality.
  • Intermediate to advanced Oracle SQL and Evisions Argos experience.
  • Experience with Banner production support, troubleshooting, and functional analysis.
  • Preferred experience with Automic, Banner integrations, and higher education compliance.
