Marketing and Public Relations Manager

Responsibilities Include:
• Provide leadership and manage operations, performance, and budget for department
• Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy for the Library to reach and engage members of the community
• Manage the Library’s public relations campaigns and strategies
• Oversee the creation of content for the Library’s website and social media
• Pursue outside funding sources and partnership opportunities
• Write various articles and press releases for the Library’s newsletter, local newspapers, and other publications as needed
• Oversee the development, implementation, and coordination of large-scale Library events
• Attend events throughout the community to promote the Library’s services, including the Fourth of July Parade and National Night Out
• Proof read and revise all marketing and public relations communication materials

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, public relations, communication, or a related field
• Three years of experience in developing a marketing program or public relations campaign for an organization is preferred
• Excellent project management skills while working with detail and deadlines
• Strong writing and proofreading skills; thorough knowledge of rules of grammar, punctuation and spelling, and their use in copy composition

Salary / Schedule
• $53,500-$57,000, depending on qualifications
• Schedule requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
