The City of Aurora is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Aide in the Division of Purchasing within the Finance Department.

Under the general supervision of the Director or designee, the Administrative Aide will perform a variety of administrative and staff support duties for the Purchasing division with a focus on supporting MWBE (Minority and/or Women-Owned Business Enterprise) initiatives. The duties of this position include but are not limited to: Perform research and evaluate information as requested; Utilize various computer software programs for tracking and analysis of projects and preparation of reports; Draft memos and correspondence; Function as liaison between Purchasing and other City departments; Respond to public inquiries; Assist with planning, organization, coordination, and operation of special events; Other duties as assigned.

This position requires a high school diploma or GED; Two (2) years of college preferred.

Must successfully pass pre-hire requirements including but not limited to a physical, drug screen, and background check.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Starting hourly pay is $27.91/hr, depending on experience and qualifications.
