Description: The City of Countryside is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of Lead Community Service Officer in the Police Department. Applicants should be highly motivated with above average computer skills. Under the supervision of the Community Service Officer Coordinator and sworn staff, the Lead CSO will provide first-line, non-emergency response via telephone or in person to citizens requesting information or service from the Police Department. The Lead CSO will also perform various administrative work in non-sworn law enforcement activities. The normal work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm. – 11:00 pm., but may be subject to rotating shifts and holidays.
Education and Experience Requirements: This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with some college coursework preferred. Minimum of one to three years related experience and/or training. Prior experience with law enforcement records management software and LEADS is preferred.
Special Requirements/Qualifications: Candidates must attain LEADS Full Access certification during the probationary period and must attain re-certification every two years.
The City of Countryside requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or obtain approval for a medical or religious exemption.
Salary Range: Starting salary is $46,721 plus excellent benefits.
