The City of DeKalb, Illinois, is looking to hire for part-time Airport Line Service. Airport Line Service performs general aircraft fueling, customer service and miscellaneous duties for all aircraft, based and transient, light equipment and automotive maintenance/repairs, light janitorial and snow removal duties for the DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport. This position requires a strong customer service background and the ability to work under minimal supervision.

The Line Service position is a part-time, non-exempt position that will work an average of 15 to 20 hours per week and at no time may exceed 1,000 hours in a 12-month period. The work schedule will consist of hours mutually agreed upon with the Airport Operations Manager generally between the hours of 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday through Sunday with occasional holiday and/or night call outs for aircraft fueling as needed.

We require a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is also required. Previous line service/aviation and maintenance experience is preferred.

The starting hourly rate is $24.31 per hour.
