The City of DeKalb, Illinois is seeking to fill the part-time Airport Line Service position to join our team. The Line Service performs general aircraft fueling, customer service and miscellaneous duties for all aircraft, based and transient, light equipment and automotive maintenance/repairs, light janitorial and snow removal duties for the DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport. This position requires a strong customer service background and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
The Line Service position is a part-time, non-exempt position that will work an average of 15 to 20 hours per week and at no time may exceed 1,000 hours in a 12-month period. The work schedule will consist of hours mutually agreed upon with the Airport Operations Manager generally between the hours of 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday through Sunday with occasional holiday and/or night call outs for aircraft fueling as needed.
We require a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is also required. Previous line service/aviation and maintenance experience is preferred.
The starting hourly rate is $23.72 per hour.
