The City of DeKalb, Illinois is seeking an Office Associate I to join our team in the Police Department. The Office Associate I position performs a variety of functions in the areas of customer service, accounting, administrative support, and the processing and fulfilling of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and subpoena requests.
This position is a full-time, non-exempt position represented under AFSCME and requires the ability to work a 37.5-hour work week with periodic overtime. Standard working hours will be Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 am. – 5:00pm.
We require a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one year of administrative/secretarial experience. Supplemental coursework in office management is desired. This role will also require the ability to become Law Enforcement Agency Data Systems (LEADS) certified within a specified timeframe.
The starting hourly rate is $20.85 per hour.
