The City of Farmer City, Illinois is seeking an innovative and progressive candidate for the position of Finance Manager. Farmer City is conveniently located in the center of major metropolitan areas in central Illinois and is a City Manager form of government. The Finance Manager will join a dynamic, collaborative, and fun team. We are seeking a strategic, resourceful Manager with an emphasis on customer service and long-term financial planning to oversee a multi-million dollar budget. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred; strong accounting and government finance background strongly desired. 2-4 years’ experience in accounting, public finance or closely related field. Responsibilities include: Management and administrative work directing and coordinating the varied functions of the City’s Finance Department. Duties include directing the overall financial operations including the general ledger, accounts payable, financial statement preparation and other similar duties. Salary range $50,000-62,000
