The Finance Director serves as a key member of the City’s management team and is responsible for all fiscal operations. Serving under the direction and supervision of the City Manager, the position oversees the Finance Department including; payroll, procurement, utility billing, and municipal court. The Finance Director also plays a significant role in the budget process.
The City of Heath has a total overall budget of $25,123,000 for Fiscal Year 2023. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration, or a closely related field and at least five years of experience in progressively responsible government financial operations (municipal government strongly preferred), including at least three years of supervisory experience, is required. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and/ or a Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO) from Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) is preferred, but not required.
Salary and Benefits The City of Heath offers a salary range of $130k-$143k, dependent on qualifications and experience.
