Title: Clerical and Customer Support (part-time)
Department: City Manager’s Office
Hiring Range: $16.53 to $20.66 per hour (approximate) depending on qualifications

Description of Primary Purpose
Responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate financial, membership, registration, and customer service operations. This position will be approximately 20 hours per week.

• Processes the division’s accounts payables and accounts receivables.
• Leads in registration process for Senior Center activities.
• Manages memberships.
• Provides excellent customer service.
• Maintains and reconciles the division’s restricted donations accounts ledgers and account balances, and prepares a monthly donations report.
• Assists with production and editing of three seasonal editions of Shorelines newsletter.

Qualification Requirements

Education: Graduation from high school; associate’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: Minimum three years of experience working in similar finance or administrative role. Experience or strong desire in working with older adults preferred.

Certification or License: Driver’s license.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Proficiencies: This position requires a high level of organization and excellence in accuracy, attention to detail, and communication, in addition to the ability to effectively present ideas both orally and in writing, the ability to produce reports of a varying nature on a timely basis, skills in the operation of a computer, and the ability to multi-task amid interruptions throughout the day. Strong knowledge of and experience in working with older adults, and the patience required when working with this population is essential. Minimum typing proficiency of 50 W.P.M., and expertise in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Access.
