City of Wood Dale

The City of Wood Dale is seeking a full-time Public Works Management Analyst. The functions of this position are complex and technical in nature, requiring the exercise of judgment and initiative. The Public Works Management Analyst is part of an effort to right-size the number of employees for the work performed by the department. The Management Analyst assumes a lead role in management of a variety of routine and complex administrative, technical, and professional activities in the development, implementation, evaluation, and coordination of various Public Works activities. This position reports to the Public Works Director.

·         Coordinate projects, prepare project information for distribution, and interact frequently with other Departments.

·         Prepare various bid specifications and coordinate with various contractors/vendors.

·         Review, develop, implement, and administer policies and/or standard operating procedures.

·         Receive, review, route, and track right-of-way permit applications including all applicable franchise agreements, fees, COIs, bonds, and inspections.

·         Review, develop, coordinate, implement, and monitor effective safety training and risk management.

·         Manage the development of standard operating procedures, as well as monitor and measure Department adherence to said procedures

Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years of related administrative experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the knowledge, abilities, and skills required for Public Works Management Analyst. Possession of a Master’s degree or current enrollment working towards an advanced degree in Public/Business Administration or related field is encouraged and can be used to substitute up to 1 year of work experience
