GovHR USA is pleased to announce the recruitment of candidates for the remote position of Human Resources Generalist for our headquarters in Northbrook, Illinois

About the Position: The Human Resources Generalist reports to the Human Resources Manager who oversees the internal HR function of GovHR USA.
 
The primary functions of the position is administration of GovHR and GovTemps Human Resources programs including employee programs and benefits administration. GovTemps administration including recruitment, client relations, contract management, employee onboarding, invoicing/billing, and reporting and tracking. This position is full-time, 30 hours/week. 
 
Position Expectations: The position has the following key responsibilities.
  • Assist with risk management administration; assist with insurer audits, reports, claims management, and maintaining files.
  • Benefits Administration  assist with Medical Insurance and Retirement program, resolve employee issues.
    • Monitor ACA requirements, administration of insurance renewals, applications and resolve employee questions.
    • Complete IRA program monthly contributions, reporting and new enrollment.
    • Tracking employee PTO reporting.
    • Assist with monthly HSA enrollment and reporting.
  • Administration of new staff onboarding and maintenance of employee documents.
    • Assist with onboarding of new interim staffing employees; maintain files; prepare and maintain agreement and renewals. Provide back-up to HR Assistant for on-boarding function.
  • Interim Staffing Recruitment – Advertise new positions, review resumes, match candidates with assignments, schedule candidate meetings.
  • Assist with employee annual review system administration.
  • Assist with Employee Manual maintenance.
  • Assist with Job Descriptions updates.
  • Prepare Weekly Report, monitor Client and Employee List, tracking and statistics.
  • Back up payroll function and answer employee or client questions.
Position Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Graduation from 4-year program with concentration in management or human resources; Masters’ Degree preferred, including or supplemented by 1-2 years’ experience in human resources; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the appropriate knowledge, ability and skills in human resources administration. Local government experience preferred.
 
Compensation and Benefits: The pay range is $30-33/hr. Full-time position, expected 30 hours per week. A comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, IRA with employer match, flexible schedule, remote work, paid holidays and paid time off.
