GovTemps is accepting resumes from qualified candidates for a 40hour/week position of Village Clerk/Executive Assistant at the Village of Brown Deer, WI. (pop. 12,000). Selected candidate will be an employee of GovTemps with services contracted to the Village for a minimum of three months. Position may lead to a permanent hire.
The Village of Brown Deer is a suburban community located 12 miles north of Milwaukee. The organization is comprised of 80FT and 30PT employees.
- Reporting to the Village Manager,
- Administering all licensing and elections tasks,
- Preparing public meeting notices,
- Clerking bi-monthly Village Board meetings,
- Serving as a confidential secretary to the Village Manager, and
- Performing a variety of clerical and secretarial activities.
Position Requirements: Successful candidate must possess strong attention to detail, communication and customer service skills along with proficiency in use of Microsoft work products. At least three years local government experience. Successful candidate will be a Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) or Master Municipal Clerk (MMC) or have the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of appointment. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Compensation and Application Process: $30-$35/hour. DOQ. Benefits include employer matched IRA retirement plan and employer contribution health insurance.
