GovTempsUSA is seeking qualified candidates for Grants Specialist with Lake County, IL. Successful candidates will be GovTemps employees contracted to the County. Employees will be expected to work up to 30 hours/week. This is a hybrid position, with expectation of one day per week in the office. This can be a three-year contract position for the right candidate.
Primary Duties: Provide support to county staff for all requirements related to American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding administration, compliance and reporting requirements. Perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities, including grant administration, ensuring compliant implementation, management, evaluation, and closeout of grants according to rules and regulations. Perform various duties associated with overseeing sub-recipients, including enforcing contracts, compliance monitoring, reporting, and training. This position involves interpersonal relationships within the Department, external and internal partners, and the public, requiring a high degree of professionalism, tact, good judgment and communication skills
Position Requirements: Successful candidate will have two to four years grant administration experience Candidates must also possess strong administrative and organizational skills. Prior municipal work experience is a plus.
Hourly Wage and Selection Process: $30-40/hour. DOQ. GovTemps employee benefits include up to 3% match for IRA retirement plan and contribution to health insurance.
