GovTempsUSA (GovTemps), a leading temporary staffing agency serving local governments across the country, is seeking candidates for the part-time, remote position of Senior Vice President.  GovTemps is a division of GovHR USA, which is a nationally recognized local government consulting firm focusing on executive recruitment, and human resources and management consulting.   
The successful candidate will be an experienced local government professional with a broad local government professional network.  It is anticipated the position will initially focus on the Northeast region of the country.  Duties include working with local government clients to identify short, long-term, and project-based staffing needs and to solicit, vet and identify candidates to fill staffing opportunities.    Key elements of the position include:   
  • The position is 100% remote with periodic travel to client locations and attendance at professional conferences. 
  • Work with a dedicated team of staffing, consulting and executive recruitment professionals who are experts in their field and regularly collaborate and support one another.
  • Learn GovTemps processes include managing the “infrastructure” of the placement process – ad placement, social media outreach, candidate due diligence, etc.
  • Opportunity to be exposed to and potentially trained in GovHR executive recruitments and special consulting projects.  
The Ideal Candidate will have:
  • Extensive knowledge about local government including the many and varied positions that exist to serve the public includingbut not limited to, Managers and Administrators, department head and professional staff positions.   
  • Well-developed communication and customer service skills with elected bodies, department head positions and candidates for employment.
  • Ability to work with clients and make diplomatic suggestions to assist with temporary staffing solutions to address local government staffing challenges.  
  • Technology skills including knowledge of Microsoft office suite and the ability to learn an applicant tracking system.
Compensation and Application Process:  The targeted salary range for the position is $45K to $50K (DOQ) for an anticipated 20/hour week position.
