GovTemps is accepting resumes from qualified candidates for the position of
Finance Manager at Riverwoods, IL. Selected candidate will be an employee of
GovTemps with services contracted to the Village for a minimum of three months.
Position may lead to a permanent hire by the Village or an extended contractual
arrangement via GovTemps for candidates who are restricted by pension plan
limitations. A flexible work schedule and hybrid work environment is anticipated
for this 24-40 hour/week position.

About the Village of Riverwoods. Located in southern Lake County with a
population of 3,790, the Village of Riverwoods is known for its low-density housing
and woodlands ecology. With close proximity to the northern suburbs and
downtown Chicago, residents value the native environment and the opportunity to
“getaway” from the hustle and bustle of the metropolitan area.

Position Responsibilities. Position reports to the Mayor and will work under
guidance of a part-time Finance Director. The Finance Manager will oversee all
Village financial operations including preparation of financial reports, coordination
of AP, AR and payroll functions, and review of monthly bank reconciliations.

Position Requirements. Successful candidate must possess strong attention to
detail along with thorough knowledge of bookkeeping and general accounting
procedures and be proficient with excel and financial software systems (a software
conversion to BSA will begin later this year). A bachelor’s degree is preferred but
not required. Prior local government experience is strongly preferred.
