GovTemps is soliciting qualified candidates for a 24-40 hour/week, three to five month position as Interim HR Director for the Village of Schaumburg, IL. Selected candidate will be an employee of GovTemps with services contracted to the Village.
About Schaumburg and the Position: (pop. 78,723) Schaumburg is the largest center of economic development in the State of Illinois, outside the City of Chicago with a daytime population of 150,000. It is home to over 5,000 businesses, 30 hotels and over 200 restaurants. The HR Department consists of eight employees serving 500 full-time and 150 part-time employees. The interim HR Director will serve under the direction of the Village Manager and reports to the Assistant Village Manager.
Position Responsibilities and Requirements: Position will provide guidance to the HR staff and the Village’s leadership team on a wide range of HR matters. Preference will be given to candidates who have significant experience in a municipal HR Dept and collective bargaining. Master’s degree is preferred along with HR certifications. Occasional remote work is a possibility.
Hourly Rate and Benefits: $80/hour +/- DOQ. GovTemps employee benefits include up to 3% match for IRA retirement plan and contribution to health insurance.
