Data Analyst and Compliance
MGT Impact Solutions is seeking a qualified candidate to be a Data Analyst and Compliance for one of their Higher Ed Clients. Successful candidates will be MGT employees contracted to MGT Client.
The role is a full-time (40 hours per week) position contracted through the end of October 2026 with possibility to extend. The engagement is expected to last approximately six months and may be performed in a remote or hybrid work arrangement.
Primary Duties:
- Support institutional reporting and compliance submissions
- Assist with data analysis and reporting to support enrolment management and operational decision-making
- Provide support to the Office of Institutional Research & Analytics during a transition period
Essential Functions:
- Complete and support federal and external compliance reporting, including IPEDS and Common Data Set submissions
- Perform data validation, quality checks, and ensure accuracy of institutional data
- Assist in preparing reports, datasets, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
- Support institutional analytics initiatives and reporting processes
- Collaborate with team members to maintain continuity in reporting cycles
- Contribute to data governance practices and process improvements
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, Economics, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or institutional research
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, data manipulation)
- Experience with SQL or other data querying tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to communicate data insights clearly and effectively
Position Requirements:
- Experience working with large datasets and reporting systems
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and reporting cycles
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Preferred: Experience in higher education or familiarity with IPEDS, Common Data Set, or similar reporting frameworks
- Preferred: Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI
Hourly Wage and Selection Process:
Hourly wages $25 to $30 per hour, based on experience. MGT employee benefits include up to a 5% match for 401(k) retirement plan, and a comprehensive medical/health benefits package.
