Now accepting new police recruit applications through April 10, 2026, by 5:00 pm (C.D.T.). Orientation/Written Test will be on April 18, 2026, at Prospect High School. There is no fee to take the MPPD Officer Examination.

MPPD is also accepting ongoing lateral officer applications. Applications for lateral officers are continuously accepted.

·         Starting base salary $81,739 for new recruits; $86,464 – $112,945 (DOQ) for lateral police officers. Top Salary: $122,523.
