The Oneida County Register of Deeds Office is seeking an individual to fill a full-time (37.5 hours per week) Deputy I Register of Deeds position. The starting 2022 hourly wage is $17.68 plus excellent fringe benefit package including affordable health insurance and generous PTO (Paid Time Off) with the ability to carryover unused PTO balances into future years.
This position is responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties, while exercising independent judgment and initiative. This position also works with the public and organizations to assist in searching the records, answering questions and assisting in genealogy searches.
Qualified candidate must have a high school degree in accounting, math, secretarial and/or computer science plus one of the following:
– Two years (48 credits) of post high school education in above areas (land information/description experience preferred) OR
– One year (24 credits) post high school education in above areas plus one year work experience in a land information/description environment OR
– Two years work experience in a land information/description environment.
