- Bachelor's and a Juris Doctor degree.
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois. Admission to the Illinois State Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois is preferred.
- A minimum of three years’ experience practicing in contract and real estate law. Previous experience defending mechanics lien cases in court is preferred.
- Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of contract and real estate law and can draft contracts and policies.
- Excellent reading comprehension, research, and verbal and written communication skills, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- A highly organized, detail oriented, and resourceful team player. Able to successfully and efficiently work on numerous projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
- A highly skilled negotiator who demonstrates strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills and must demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
- Position is subject to the provisions set forth in 5 ILCS 430/5-45 (c) of the State Officials and Employee Ethics Act.
- Travel to Cook and its collar counties is required.
- Pace has a hybrid work environment after completion of the 6-month probationary period.
