Sunny Hill Nursing Home
DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
Directs operations of the Activity Department. Oversees and assists with development and implementation of medically approved recreation programs for nursing home residents to meet resident physical, mental, and psychosocial needs as identified through assessment. Assist with Resident Council, Friends of Sunny Hill, and other resident committees (including fundraising, public relations and marketing activities as necessary). Supervises and delegates responsibilities to activity department staff. Participates with the care plan team. Coordinates resident activity transportation program. Coordinates and directs volunteer programs including interviews, selection, assignment, orientation, training, supervision, and scheduling. Assists in marketing efforts
QUALIFICATIONS:
· At least 2 years of recent experience in a social or recreation field in a health care setting activity program; related long-term care and supervisory experience preferred.
· Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or related field preferred
· Related certification or license preferred including but not limited to Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, Licensed Social Worker or Occupational Therapist.
· Knowledge of long-term care IDPH regulations.

Pay range: $50,000 – $65,000/yr
