Bensenville, IL – Wastewater Operator Technician II

The Village of Bensenville, IL, seeks an experienced full-time Wastewater Operator Technician II in the Public Works Department.  The Wastewater Operator Technician II position is a non-exempt, unionized (AFSCME) position that reports to the Wastewater Supervisor. The current salary range for this position is $64,181.70 to $87,650.00, with the contract currently in negotiation.  The Wastewater Operator Technician II position must have a valid Class B CDL license with airbrakes and tanker endorsements, a Class I or II IEPA Wastewater Maintenance Certification, and 6-8 years of responsible wastewater maintenance experience. The position performs technical and physical work on the operation, maintenance, and improvement of the mechanical, electrical, chemical, and biological systems associated with Bensenville’s 4.7 MGD WWTP, collection system, and lift stations.
