Under the immediate supervision of the Information Technology Manager, this technical role is responsible for evaluating the current business processes, identifying potential area of improvement, and will also serve as a subject matter expert for the Villages ERP systems. This position is represented by the MAP 522 union.

Shift:               Monday – Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, but may be extended due to unexpected workload, after hour patching / system updates, and unusual / unplanned deadlines while being available for limited on-call and after-hours support.

Location:        375 W. Briarcliff Road, Bolingbrook, Illinois, 60440

Salary:            $64,085.82 to $75,453.08 annually (depending on qualifications)

 

Examples of Duties:

  • Meets with decision makers, system owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operation requirements / system goals. Identifies and resolves system issues.
  • Developing a detailed business analysis; outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions for the Village.
  • Ensures the successful operation of the Village’s financial systems, supporting technologies and applications.
  • Maintains the Village’s ERP production and test systems.
  • Provides daily technical support for Village hardware and software, and provides various reports for departments as needed.
  • Performs analysis on software application functionally and develops a plan to improve them.
  • Keeps records of configuration changes, schedules application updates, and monitors/track software inventories.
  • Provides technical support to: various departments, and external clients.
  • Assists with system integrations.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Ability to became a subject matter expert in Tyler Technology Software, specifically MUNIS.
  • Prior experience working in a municipality strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SQL databases and basic network configurations.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Access, Crystal Reports, SQL Server, and Tyler Technology Software.
  • Knowledge of application security, website security, certificate management, and application vulnerability.
  • Technical and practical expertise in Microsoft Windows OS, and Microsoft Office application suite.
  • Project Management skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to diagnose and address application issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Reside in a community (or unincorporated areas) within the State of Illinois which falls within a thirty (30) miles radius of the intersection of Briarcliff Road and North Bolingbrook Drive (Route 53), within six (6) months of the date the probationary period ends.
