Public Works Mechanic

The Village of Flossmoor is accepting applications for the full-time position of Mechanic with the Public Works Department. This is a skilled position with responsibilities that include the supervision, maintenance and repair of Public Works, Fire Department, Police Department, Building/Inspectional Services Department, Administration vehicles, equipment, and facilities. The incumbent must work outside in all weather extremes and, when necessary, is required to report to work when off-duty or when assigned to overtime work, including snowplowing and underground utility repairs. Five years of increasingly responsible mechanic (or equivalent) experience is required. Salary range is $86,720 – $108,400.
