General Maintenance – Streets/Storm Sewer

Duties and Responsibilities: Responds to streets and storm sewer related inquiries and performs snow and ice control removal, pavement striping, catch basin repair, sewer flushing, street sign installation, street repair, street light maintenance, curb repair and performing maintenance of Village owned detention ponds and out lots. Utilizes smart technology such as iPads, laptops, computers, smart phones, cameras, and technical equipment. Prepares and maintains various records and reports.
Additional Responsibilities:
*Heavy equipment operating, to include but not limited to backhoes, skid steers, loaders, dump trucks, rollers, plate compactors, hauling equipment with trailers, excavators, and street saws
*Must possess a general use of power tools
*General streets maintenance upkeep and repair
*Assists with Village related special events
*Snow and ice control (anti-icing, plowing, salting)
This position is a dedicated 365 days/24 hours/7 days a week on-call position that is required to respond to all after-hour emergencies including snow/ice control as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: Must have a High School diploma or G.E.D., possession of a Class B Commercial Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within (1) year of hire date. Previous experience in working with underground sewers is desirable. A minimum of one (1) year experience in snow-plow maintenance is highly desired but not required.
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $59,780-$85,400 dependent upon qualifications.
