Long Grove, IL – Management Analyst

The Village of Long Grove (population 8,366) is excited to welcome applicants for a full-time Management Analyst. This is a great opportunity for a motivated professional who is interested in making a meaningful impact in local government and public service.

The Management Analyst is an important role within the office of the Village Manager. Working under the general direction of the Village Manager and in collaboration with the management team, this position helps support, coordinate, and improve a variety of Village programs, services, and organizational functions. Responsibilities include partnering with Village departments on special projects, helping communicate goals and initiatives to staff and residents, and contributing to projects that strengthen Village operations.

Initial areas of focus for this position will include overseeing the Village’s Service Request System (SRS), receiving and responding to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, serving as staff liaison to the Architectural Committee (AC), and assisting with other duties as needed. The role will also support initial planning and zoning inquiries, monitor and address code violation concerns, and help advance the digitization of the Village archives.

The ideal candidate will bring strong verbal and written communication skills, sound technical abilities, and proficiency with software applications such as Microsoft Office. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities while working both independently and collaboratively in a small office environment.

Qualified candidates should have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, business administration, political science, or a related field. This position is well-suited for someone who is committed to public service and eager to grow professionally. Additional education in a related field, or plans to pursue it, are strongly welcomed.

The salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000, with the starting salary determined based on qualifications. The Village also offers a competitive benefits package, which currently includes health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).
