Community Service Officer (Part-Time)

The Northbrook Police Department is seeking a candidate for the position of part-time Community Service Officer. Reporting to the Community Relations Supervisor, the position’s duties include: assisting with traffic control, parking enforcement, preparing and presenting crime prevention and community outreach programs for various age groups, infant car seat installations/training, animal control calls when animal control officer not on duty, private property crash reports and other duties as assigned.

Qualified candidates must have knowledgeable of police operations and crime prevention. Minimum requirements include High School diploma or GED. Successful candidates should possess a minimum of three years of related experience.

This part-time position pays $20.70 per hour with prorated leave benefits including vacation, sick leave and paid holidays, and works approximately 20 hours per week.
