Round Lake Beach, IL – Seasonal – Public Work Maintenance Worker

Under the direction of the Public Works Director or designee, the Public Works Maintenance Seasonal position will work on a variety of manual labor projects and tasks outdoors.  Work may include general street maintenance, trash collection, beach and playground maintenance, painting, cleaning, and assisting with special events and departmental programs.

Training in vehicles and equipment and familiarization with department safety expectations and operations will be provided upon hire.

Applicants must successfully pass drug and alcohol screening, pre-employment physical, criminal background and driving record check.

The seasonal employment offer is for up to 40 hours per week, Monday- Friday, from 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend. The position also includes work on occasional weekends, holidays and overtime as assigned.
