The Village of Westmont is seeking a motivated and willing maintenance worker to join our team in the Street division of our Public Works Department. This person will work to ensure the Village streets, alleys and parkways are maintained and in proper working order.
What Your Day May Look Like:
From season to season our days may vary but a glimpse into a day of a Maintenance Worker in the Street Division:
Spring/Summer
- Repairing/replacing sidewalks and patching roads
- Grading Alleys
- CBD Brickwork
- Sign shop/Special event support
Fall/Winter
- Plowing
- Pothole maintenance
- Watermain repair support

Where Has Your Education and Experience Lead You?
- Familiar with a municipality or similar agency, preferably with experience in Public Works.
- Having a team mindset in all settings but especially those in emergency situations where there are many things going on at once.
- Being able to work with different types of tools, from hand tools to large machinery such as bobcats and forklifts.
- Preferably having your Illinois CDL Class “B” license with tanker endorsement and airbrakes

This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position with a starting wage range of $26.60/hr – $34.91/hr (DOQ).
