As a vital part of the Wheeling Finance Department, the Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency in all accounting practices.   This position performs both professional and supervisory functions and requires considerable knowledge and ability in assisting the Director of Finance and the Deputy Director of Finance in accounting matters.  The Accounting Manager performs technical and administrative accounting work in order to maintain the fiscal records and system of the Village.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, preferably with a minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience, and a minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience.  Any combination of relevant education and experience to successfully perform the responsibilities of the position deemed sufficient by the Village Manager may be accepted.

Salary range of $88,692 – $123,174.
