Will County Animal Control
This position provides moderate level of support which includes but is not limited to ensuring health, safety, and daily care of housed animals, such as feeding, providing water, walking, administering medication, and monitoring for and reporting signs of basic animal illnesses and qualities of behavior in dogs and cats. Kennel attendants are responsible for cleaning and disinfection of kennels, cages, and bowls, maintaining laundry, working with and around the animal control officers and associated animal control/housing equipment. An ability and willingness to learn, as well as providing compassionate care for the animals is essential.
Six (6) months of related background or experience preferred in handling dogs, cats, or other related animals that may be impounded. Knowledge in use of kennels, poles, traps preferred. Excellent communication with office staff is required. Must maintain a valid driver’s license or effective form of transportation.

SALARY RANGE: $18.50/hr.
