Job Note Will County Court Services Department
Job Summary The Legal Secretary provides administrative support for the various divisions within the Department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, client and visitor reception, telephones, file preparation, data entry, mail reception and delivery, operating standard office equipment, including the latest computer equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Accurate typing and data entry skills
Knowledge of spelling, punctuation, and basic grammar
Good oral and written communication skills
Two (2) years office/clerical experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the job
Must pass background check and drug test
Intermediate knowledge of computer equipment and various software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite a plus
Starting Salary and Benefits: $37,652.00 per year: Collective Bargaining Agreement – The Chief Judge of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit and Will County Probation and Illinois Fraternal Order of Police Labor Council. Salary will increase to $39,911.00 on 12/1/2023. https://willcounty.gov/open-and-participatory-government
