Will County Executive Office
Serves as Assistant Resident or Resident Engineer for various road and bridge, drainage, and similar projects. Carries out field studies to prepare various roadway maintenance contracts. Perform technical research and computations. Perform traffic engineering studies. Develops solutions to engineering problems. Coordinates with others, to accomplish tasks. Investigates citizen complaints, conducts field inspections and develops recommendations. May be designated according to function or specialty.
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a U.S. ABET/AEC accredited college or university. Possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License and minimum liability insurance. Level II Engineers will need to be registered as E.I.T. in Illinois or 3-10 years engineering experience. Level III or IV Engineers will need to be registered as PE in Illinois or 1-10+ years’ experience as a PE. Continuing education to maintain professional certifications required.
