Maintenance Worker – Sunny Hill Nursing Home (8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)

 

DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:            Completes repairs and maintains buildings and ground by performing a variety of duties. The services include maintenance of all equipment and materials involved with heating, lighting, ventilation, air-conditioning, electrical distribution, water supply, sanitation, public health, fire protection, safety systems, lifts, façade engineering, and acoustics. Also, maintains ground, private roadways, and right-of-way.  Performs maintenance tasks in accordance with safety rules and procedures; must follow oral and written instructions effectively; operates vehicles, trucks, vans and uses hand or power tools. This is an on-site role.

 

 

High school diploma or equivalent required. One year of experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair or trade is required. Skilled in the use of hand and power tools. Thorough working knowledge of tools and materials used in general building maintenance and repair work. Must have a valid driver’s license and minimum liability insurance as required by law. Must successfully pass a tools knowledge skills assessment during the interview process. Successful completion of physical lift test, and Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) background check, respirator clearance test, Titer Test for Hep B & Varicella, and TB test required upon hire.

SALARY RANGE:             $51,752 (Starting compensation) – $76,815 (Top of the range) (D7 – F5) (FY2026) (Link to union if applicable: https://willcounty.gov/Open-and-Participatory-Government)
