Will County Sunny Hill Nursing Home
Under general supervision, serves meals to residents and performs sanitation duties in work areas. Responsibilities include preparing and serving food, cleaning equipment utilized in the kitchen/dining areas, and cleaning the food service area. Work is performed under the supervision of a Kitchen Manager, Kitchen Supervisors, and Cook.
Serves food and assists residents, excluding the actual feeding of residents, as needed at meal times.
Assists in the preparation of food for cooking.
Prepares and portions designated foods and beverages, including, but not limited to, coffee, salads, and desserts, according to instructions.
Operates various kitchens appliances, including, but not limited to, steam table, coffee urns, buffet equipment, and dishwasher.
Performs sanitation activities in all areas associated with the Dietary Department. Activities include, but are not limited to, cleaning and preparing serving areas, utensils, and dishes; sweeping and mopping kitchen area floors; disposing trash; and performing other sanitation activities as prescribed by Management.
Ensure that all residents are and will continue to receive care that reflects the goals and principles of resident-centered care.
Punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
Performs other related duties, as assigned or required.
· High school diploma or GED required; and
· Six (6) months prior food service experience preferred.
