GovTemps is seeking skilled candidates interested in working in temporary Permit Coordinator positions in communities in the Chicago metropolitan area. The length of an assignment will vary but the typical term is three to six months with a workweek of 15-40 hours/weekTemporary assignments for GovTemps are perfect for retirees and others interested in temporary or seasonal work.   
 
Typical Position Responsibilities involve providing guidance and assistance to contactors and residents who are seeking a building permit, data entry, permit tracking and the issuance of minor permits as well as other related administrative tasks in a local government’s Community Development and Building Department.
 
Successful Candidates will have worked in a local government and possess an understanding of permit related policies and procedures coupled with strong computer and customer service skills. Candidates must also possess strong administrative and organizational skills.
