- Manages architectural/engineering services contracts, prepares documents for construction projects, and serves as field inspector during construction.
- Establishes estimates, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, performance, and contract requirements.
- Resolves project related issues, disputes, and claims.
- Evaluates and processes change orders.
- Writes task order project scopes for solicitation of architectural and engineering professional services.
- Reviews and negotiates proposed architectural professional services proposals, invoices, and fees.
- Manages project documentation and contractual responsibilities during pre-design, design development, and construction.
- Performs quality assurance/quality control reviews for architectural and engineering design submittals.
- Supervises construction contract work in the field, ensures that the project is constructed in accordance with detailed plans and specifications and contract requirements.
- Writes construction documents for bid letting.
- Performs all close out tasks associated with the completion of all architectural and engineering services and construction contract work on projects assigned.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Must have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
- Must have a minimum of six years of design and/or construction administration experience.
- Must be proficient using Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel as well as using AutoCAD.
- Must possess and demonstrate strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, and be detail oriented with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Most work is performed in an office environment but travel to local project sites and field work including the ability to maneuver on a construction site is required.
- An Engineer-in-Training certification and/or professional engineering license is preferred.
- Emphasis on site inspection/observation is preferred.
- Knowledge of design for vehicle maintenance/industrial facilities, including building and site lighting, power and standby power, fire alarm, security, data cabling systems, battery electric vehicles, and building systems commissioning experience is preferred.
- Prior experience with e-Builder and Bluebeam is preferred.
