Job Summary:
This employee is responsible for organizing and implementing an instructional program for preschool students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom setting and meeting the duties of teaching as outlined in the district policies. Duties of this position include but are not limited to: designing the academic educational program so that it is consistent with the total educational philosophy of the district; preparing educational plans for each group of students based on individually assessed needs in accordance with student IEP’s, the district’s philosophy, and programmatic goals and objectives; establishing and maintaining cooperative relations with other employees.

Qualifications: Professional Educators License required
Early Childhood Education approval/endorsement required
Early Childhood Special Education approval/endorsement required
ESL approval/endorsement required
Spanish speaking preferred but not required
Successful teaching experience preferred, but not required
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Ability to be an effective member of a team
