Village of Mount Prospect

The Village of Mount Prospect is seeking a creative and detail-oriented storyteller for the position of Communications Intern, working under the Director of Marketing & Public Relations in the Village Manager’s Office. This position will run for approximately 10-12 continuous weeks, requires a minimum of 20 hours per week, and pays an hourly wage of $15-17, depending on qualifications.

This position will work on social media content creation, website management, press releases, proofreading, print material creation, e-newsletters, photography and graphic design, and other communications duties as assigned.

An ideal candidate must be able to work independently and as a member of a team. This person is professional and comfortable communicating with other Village departments, businesses, and community members. This candidate must be a strong writer, pay attention to detail, and have an interest in social media and design.

The Communications Intern must be a full-time student registered at an accredited college or university.
