Solutions Engineer (Information Technology)

STARTING SALARY RANGE:  $86,847.00 – $96,618.29 annually dependent on qualifications. The salary range for this position is $86,847.00 – $125,929.00.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position leads and contributes to all aspects of the analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of custom solutions, applications, and integrations. This role collaborates closely with the technical solutions and technical services teams to design, develop and implement high-performance scalable architectures & data models using .NET Core, ASP.NET, Azure, VB/C#, web services, JavaScript frameworks, SQL server, and more.  This role also communicates extensively with internal customers and members of project teams on status, options, and issues related to the technical aspects of systems under development. This position must maintain and support existing applications and solutions while performing enhancements and changes as needed. The position takes part in the influence and design of new feature sets, determines the best way to integrate with external partners, and provides technical support to internal teams and clients.

 

JOB DUTIES:

1.    Utilizes the application development framework, develops, assesses, and implements custom applications.  Designs and builds internal, external, and mobile applications, delivering solutions using Microsoft .Net framework, JavaScript frameworks, Web API, SQL server databases, and other full-stack technologies.  Work includes custom applications with Microsoft .Net, Web API, geographic information systems (GIS), e-commerce, mobile applications, various system integrations, and related security.
2.    Maintains and ensures proper performance on existing programs and systems including system assessments and recommendations, data modeling, data analysis/automation, content management and publication, software deployment and configuration, testing and troubleshooting, system administration, application configuration, deployment, documentation, end-user support, and training.

3.    Develops SQL Server solutions and performs database administration-related tasks.
4.    Manages projects against a structured timeline and keeps regular communication between the various stakeholders.
5.    Creates custom reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, Crystal Reports, and other technologies.
6.    Works with team members and users to help define, document, and integrate new applications with existing systems.
7.    Develops application enhancements, and diagnosis issues by identifying and correcting software defects.
8.    Applies new standards and approaches to analyze, enhance, and correct development errors.
9.    Keeps abreast of new development techniques, tools, and technologies.
10.    Performs other duties as assigned.

 

May act as representative in the absence of a supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1.    Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
2.    A minimum of three years of experience developing applications using C#, .Net Framework, .Net Core, JavaScript Frameworks, and Microsoft SQL Server including SSIS and SSRS, and experience with business process, system, data analysis skills, and business application project implementation.
3.    Proficiency with current computer technology, job-specific software, and customer service systems.
