Owners’ Message – April 9, 2020
We hope this message finds you and your families safe and healthy. Please know that GovHR /GovTemps stands with you during this time. We recognize the important work you are doing to maintain critical services for your residents and your communities. Local government public servants are truly on the front lines of this crisis.
GovHR and GovTemps are fully operational, working remotely by utilizing technology and video conferencing tools. Our staff and consultants are available to assist you. Like everyone, we are adapting and adjusting to the present circumstances by holding virtual meetings with clients and elected officials, and proceeding with executive recruitment, classification and compensation studies and other projects.
GovTemps is also ready to assist by helping local government fill critical positions. We recently filled interim positions for a Fire Chief, Finance Directors, Public Works Directors and HR Directors. And – just as many Governors have issued the call to retired health professionals to consider returning to service – we are issuing that same call to retired local government professionals. We expect there will be demand in the coming months for experienced professionals to fill interim roles with local governments.
